A half-day nature escapade

This half-day jaunt in the Beaujolais area will give the opportunity to find out all about the work done in the vineyard, and taste various Beaujolais and "appellation" wines. Alongside your guide in a very comfortable minibus, you'll get to admire the beautiful scenery in Les Pierres Dorées (the Golden Stones area), in the southern part of the Beaujolais region.

You'll be driving through some charming villages built from the ochre-coloured stones that are characteristic of this region known as “Beaujolais des Pierres dorées”. Your first stop will be at Grandmont château, a small family estate at the heart of an old monastery. Discover the different stages of the winegrowing process and techniques used by winemakers, from pruning to the wine making and vatting processes, and taste a glass of Brouilly, or Morgon.

You'll then be getting back on the road, and heading for the famous village of Vaux-en-Beaujolais, better known by the name of Clochemerle. Here you'll get to see another family holding nestling on the top of a hill, and enjoy a second wine-tasting session in the sumptuous setting of the château's 12th century cellar.
Half a day marked by some wonderful discoveries, from Beaujolais Blanc to age-old vines.
