Comfortably seated in a minibus and accompanied by your tour guide, set off to explore the North of Lyon.
Cross several picturesque villages such as Pierreclos and Vergisson before reaching the emblematic "Roche de Solutré", a spectacular 493m-high rocky spur. Stop off to admire this natural "Sphinx", on a major archaeological site with "Grand Site de France" status, which has become one of the must-see emblems of Southern Burgundy.

Later in the morning, visit a family-run vineyard, meet a wine-maker, and share a special moment together. Explore the production facilities, learn the secrets of the making and barrel-ageing of "Chardonnay" wines and taste several white wines including the famous Pouilly-Fuissé appellation.

Stop for lunch and taste the delicious local cuisine in the typical setting of a restaurant in Juliénas or Fleurie. Set menus starting at €20, not included.

In the early afternoon, follow the Beaujolais wine route and discover a number of charming villages: Villié-Morgon, Régnié, etc., as well as magnificent castles.

Stop off at a second renowned vineyard. Accompanied by the wine-maker, learn the Gamay wine-making techniques and taste several Beaujolais wines in a friendly atmosphere. Take the time to appreciate these deep ruby red-coloured long-term cellaring wines, with their distinctive balance and strong pronounced flavour.

The day draws to a close by heading back to Lyon: you'll see that the famous French saying "Blanc puis rouge, rien ne bouge" (i.e. white before red, and your head won’t spin) really is true!
