Welcome to the stunning Northern Rhône Valley, where the richness of grape varieties and the diversity of terroirs awaken the senses and delight the palate.
Departing from Lyon, board a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle and let Justine, your local guide, drive you. Set off together for an authentic and friendly experience, in small groups of up to 8 people.
Your journey will begin with an immersion in the region’s rugged landscapes, where vineyards stretch as far as the eye can see. We’re talking about the steepest vineyard in France!
Discover the emblematic grape varieties of the Northern Rhône Valley, such as Viognier, Syrah, Roussanne, and Marsanne, and delve into the fascinating world of each variety.
After stopping for lunch (not included, in a local restaurant selected by our partner. Dish starting from €20/person). We encourage participants to only order a dish and not a full menu in order to fully enjoy the day and the wineries.
During our day, we’ll visit 3 wineries, where you’ll have the privilege of meeting passionate people and tasting a selection of their exceptional wines. From aromatic whites to powerful reds, to delicate rosés, each tasting will be a true exploration of the flavors and unique characteristics of the region.

Full Day - All About Northern Rhone Valley Wines (159 Euros)

On Oct. 10, our party of four people, as well as three additional people, participated in a wine tour conducted by Justine. It soon became apparent that Justine had a deep knowledge and understanding of viticulture and Rhone Valley wines. She has an academic background, had worked for four years at E. Guigal in Ampuis, and was continuing to study aspects of wine making/production to advance her career.
We had the opportunity to taste wines at three locations: Domaine Barge in Ampuis (Cote Rotie); Domaine de Boissant in Chavanay (Condrieu and St. Joseph); and Crozes-Hermitage wine with Olivier Dumaine at his Cave, after visiting his Crozes-Hermiitage vineyard in the hills to the north of Hermitage Hill. All the wines (Syrah, Viognier, Marsanne, Rousanne) tasted were characteristic of the specific terroir of the three appellations/regions we visited
We stopped for a leisurely lunch at an excellent restaurant on the bank of the Rhone River, and enjoyed a glass of wine selected from a well-balanced wine list.
Justine, the winery representatives, and the wine maker we met were very informative, interesting individuals, and were passionate about the wine making occurring in the Northern Rhone Valley.
Justine was a very friendly, pleasant person, was able to fully engage the tour participants, and was able to answer their many questions. She was an excellent tour guide.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who wishes to expand their knowledge of Northern Rhone Wines.
