Beaujolais and Pérouges - Full day

After admiring the Beaujolais hills from the mythical Mont Brouilly, you will visit the famous Château de La Chaize, the “small Versailles” of Beaujolais : discovery of the French gardens, visit of the historic winery, of the longest cellar of Beaujolais to finish with a tasting of the wines of the domain.
Free lunch in the heart of Beaujolais
In the afternoon, you will cross the Saône and join the Dombes, and criss-cross the region with 1000 ponds to the picturesque medieval village of Pérouges. You will taste the famous sugar cake and travel back in time along the cobbled streets.

Long day

Full day tour to Perouges and Beaujolais was just too much for one day. In the van, tight fit, for up to an hour each way and then in between the two visits. The tour of Perouges was rushed and no time to explore.
The lunch was a drop off in a random town outside of the wine region and you were given an hour to eat and meet back.
The winery itself was beautiful and the tour nice, but it would have been better if the tasting was outside and more leisurely.
Hit rush hour traffic going and coming out of Lyon.

I'm deeply sorry if this excursion seemed too long and did not live up to your expectations. No doubt the 1/2 day format would have suited you better.
