The main crus of Beaujolais
Just a few kilometres from Lyon, the northern Beaujolais is famous for its crus (high-quality vineyards).
Make your way through its hilly landscape with your driver-guide, who will help you discover this rich and varied wine-producing region.
You will begin with the unique “sensory wine trail” of the Château de Pizay. This beautiful, luxury estate offers an introduction to wine culture. Improve your knowledge of wine and learn about the concept of terroir, in order to understand the richness of the region’s wine-producing heritage. Fun and educational, this interactive trail is a chance to earn your first “amateur oenologist diploma”!
The visit ends at the enoteca (wine shop), where all of the estate’s wines are presented. Here, you will be able to taste 12 of the estate’s wines, including whites and reds.
You will then meet an independent winegrower, who will present his estate and give you a tasting of his wines. An ideal opportunity to test the knowledge you acquired at the beginning of the visit!
This comprehensive itinerary is specially designed for those who wish to discover wine and learn about oenology. Lastly, you will take the road back to Lyon.
