On leaving the Confluence Marina, you will sail up the Saône, passing Old Lyon, between the Fourvière and Croix-Rousse hills, you will pass alongside the Subsistances and Vaise, as far as the Ile Barbe, before turning back towards the Confluence.

For a reasonable price and without a licence you can rent a boat for up to 6 people and discover the river Saône for two hours from Confluence to Ile Barbe; We did this in August late in the afternoon and the light was great. Another way to discover Lyon!!!
Awesome boat rental

Had a great time renting a boat for an hour and taking a leisurely ride on the Soan river. My kids loved that they could steer the boat themselves and we didn't even need a permit. Service was kind and prompt. I recommend making a reservations by phone ahead of time.
