This is perhaps the nicest way to see the 'rest' of Lyon - after hours of walking around the central part, one can sit back and watch the rest of the city drift by. Our guide was extremely informative, witty and competent.
The seats are comfortable and - thank goodness - warm and sheltered from nasty October winds.
Boat ride with limited information

It was difficult to hear the announcer in either language. For the ticket price, headset for each passenger would have been much better. No safety video at the start of the tour was surprising. I thought it was a requirement for every water cruise.

Pleasant cruise up the river, informative guide but it was very hot even at 6pm due to the heatwave!

Boarding was a bit disorganised but once on boat, it was good.
The narration by the young lady in English and French was excellent.
There are toilets on board although we didn't use them

Boat was in good condition and easy to find. The ride though wasn't the most interesting, as once we passed by Vieux Lyon there's not much noteworthy to see. There is a guide giving tidbits throughout the one hour cruise

The guide provided great information which gave us insight into the history of Lyon. Very informative. It was very helpful to have head phones to hear the guide at all times.
