Very informative river cruise

This was a really informative river cruise which I am so pleased to have taken on my trip to Lyon.
We travelled down the Saône to the confluence with the Rhône and then back up. It took a full hour and the team were excellent and very knowledgable.
You will go past some fascinating architecture, both old and new.
Thanks as well to Thomas in the Tourist Information centre in Lyon. He was really helpful and booked this for us whilst we were there.
Lyon, une agréable surprise

Nous sommes arrivés à Lyon sans trop d'attentes et avons été agréablement surpris par la luminosité de la ville, la richesse architecturale de la vieille ville au bord du Rhône et de la Saône, l'impressionnant Musée des Confluences, le spectaculaire Parc de la Tête d'Or, et la facilité et la rapidité de déplacement en transports en commun.
Fun way to see the city

We had such a great time on this sightseeing boat tour! It was such a fun way to see Lyon from the water and gave us a totally different view of the city.
We really enjoyed hearing about the mix of old and new architecture—it made the ride both relaxing and interesting. It wasn’t too long or too short, just the right amount of time to take it all in.
Definitely recommend if you’re looking for an easy, enjoyable way to explore the city!

Highly enjoyed Lyon. Lyon city card for 48hrs was very helpful. We should have gotten it for 72 hours. The River cruise was excellent. Many wonderful Museums and attractions.
Would recommend staying near Place Bellcour or the Opera as convenient locations.

Lovely river cruise great view however the queueing in the sun to board the boat was long unnecessary and hot especially for some elderly people

A Nice Experience in Southern France

I must say, I didn't have a lot of expectations of Lyon, and that is why I bought the Lyon City Card to help me understand what is available in the city. But safe to say, it is such a great experience to stay and explore around the city. It is quite a refreshing vibe compared to the northern regions of France, where the weather and the people living there seem to be more fitting and friendlier. It is not necessarily the biggest city, especially in Vieux Lyon and the peninsula, which makes it easier to explore. Add that to the not-so-crowded situation, even in the month of July, Lyon is definitely a suitable stopover for those travelling through France.
