Wine tasting and discovery of Old Lyon
What about a morning where you discover the Lyon Old Town before tasting some wines from the famous wine regions located around Lyon?
At 10:00 a.m., meet your guide on Place Bellecour and then, walk to the Old Lyon and along the way discover different monuments that make up the history of the city.
Cross the bridge on the Saône and reach the St Jean district, the heart of the Old Lyon, a UNESCO world heritage site.
Then with your guide, discover several traboules, these hidden shortcuts which connect two parallel streets through one or more buildings. During this walking tour, learn from your guide about Lyon's architecture, history and gastronomy.
During a session of approximately 1h30, you taste 2 whites and 3 reds wines from winegrowers, from the wine regions surrounding Lyon: Burgundy (Pinot Noir), Mâconnais (Chardonnay), Beaujolais (Gamay) and Côtes du Rhône (Syrah / Viognier).
Thanks to your guide, you will learn about the terroir, grape varieties, winemaking... A cheese and charcuterie platter accompanies the tasting and allows nice food and wine pairings.
The session ends at 1:00 p.m. Wine is a real invitation to travel!
