Take in Lyon's landscapes as you approach the Confluence district, a recently renovated area with surprising modern architecture, and sail through historic districts inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage list, and on up the Saône, all the way to the medieval Île Barbe slumbering in an ocean of greenery. And of course, you'll be feasting on delicious food as you go.

A lovely day out and ohhhh, the FOOD

We spent lunchtime of a beautiful sunny, late-summer day gently cruising up and down the river, being fed wonderful French cuisine and listening to a really interesting commentary about the history of the city and the Confluences. It's a fascinating place and seeing it in this way really brought it to life. I knew almost nothing about Lyon before the trip and had no idea about its long history. An excellent trip. Totally recommended.

A superb quality lunch - the lime and peppermint salmon was simply wonderful - aboard a quality vessel on a sun drenched river thru one of europe's most stunning cities. Service with a smile, from well trained effective and efficient waiting staff, from start to finish. Easily the highlight of our stay in Lyon. Massive thanks to everyone at Les Bateaux Lyonnais
