Food Tour Old-Lyon - 3h
Discover the historic district of Vieux-Lyon in a gourmet tour!
Set off in the afternoon to explore the second largest UNESCO area in the world behind Venice, between painted walls, traboules and unmissable places as you enjoy the anecdotes told by your guide.
During this food tour, you will meet local artisans who are passionate about what they do. They share their history, know-how and, of course, their delicious Lyonnais specialities.
This afternoon tour includes four food breaks: assortment of Lyonnaise charcuterie with a glass of red wine, assortment of regional cheeses with a glass of white wine, praline tart with a cold or hot drink, assortment of chocolates or organic ice cream (from April 30th to October 29th) to explore Lyon and its specialities, with a combination of cultural and culinary discoveries, before beginning your evening in the city.

Excellent food tour

An enjoyable tour where we learned and tasted a lot. Our guide was charming and knowledgeable. We also loved hearing from the producers about their history and their products. Also good to be able to sit down is some places. Highly recommend.
Great tour, even if you aren’t a foodie

The tour is a bit long and the food is interesting, but not amazing. The best part by far is the tour guide, who gave us so much information about the history and local culture of Lyon. She was amazing!

The staff at the tourist office were very helpful and friendly. Our guide for the food tour Armandine was superb. Incredibly knowledgeable and witty. It was a throughly enjoyable and tasty experience.
A great afternoon

Our host was warm, welcoming, engaging and very knowledgeable, the food stops were excellent, they gave a real insight into Lyon its food, wine, beer and ice creams, alongside the access to the silk weaving which is integral to Lyon. The tour is great as you get to meet and spend time with the owners of a few of shops which again gives a real insight to the food and their passion.
Walking through the old town understanding the history of Lyon and its food goes hand in hand.
I would recommend this tour as a great way to discover the rich history and great food Lyon has to offer, we weren't disappointed.

Delicious and interesting

Pauline was a delightful tour guide. She explained all about the Bouchons and introduced us local cheeses, charcuterie, pastries, tea, wine and other foods. We ate what is roughly a large lunch, but not so much that the attendees felt they would not be able to eat dinner.
A wonderful taste of Lyon

We had an amazing time being introduced to the different foods on this tour. The cheese experience was a standout - however it was all wonderful. We still talk about it many months later. This tour added an extra dimension to our visit to Lyon. Many thanks.
