More than five gourmet breaks are planned throughout the tour (assortment of regional cheeses with a glass of white wine, Lyon specialties in an authentic Bouchon Lyonnais, assortment of local charcuterie with a glass of red wine, assortment of chocolates or organic ice cream depending on the season (from April 30th to October 29th), praline tart with a cold or hot drink) to experience Lyon’s fantastic food. Whether you’re from Lyon or elsewhere, you will be surprised by the many original and amazing anecdotes!

Really fun food tour

This tour was fun and delicious. It centered around food, but also included some basic information about the city and its history. Our guide, Axtell, was knowledgeable and personable. We enjoyed it very much, and would recommend to a friend.
Food tour of Vieux-Lyon

It was our first visit to Lyon and the four hours flew by in the company of our tour guide Vincent. He was knowledgeable and funny, we learnt so much about Lyon including the silk workers and the traboule. We sampled cheeses, saucissons, chocolates, the famous pink praline tart and all with suitable refreshments! Vincent also took us to a proper Bouchon and made sure we could distinguish the authentic ones from the many tourist traps.
I can’t recommend this tour enough.
Great food tour

We had a great food tour with Vincent, who not only knows a lot about local food, but also about the history of Lyon.
He gave us a great insight of original lyonnaise food and as well of historic sites and traboules.

- best natural chocolate ever and original liquor
- Great recommendations for sight seeings by Vincent
- lot of information about historic sites
All in all it was a very very interesting tour and time went very fast.

Had a wonderful time in Lyon. the visitor centre was a good place to decide on the day's activities and places to go to in Lyon. and also recommended two very good tours- Full day tour to Perouges + Beaujolais area and the Lyon Food tour. Both of these were excellent
Amazing Experience!

This was one of the top experiences of our vacation. The food was amazing, and our guide was incredibly knowledgable and friendly and really made the 4 hours fly by. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who is in Lyon, even if only for a day!

The guide was very good. Enjoyed the cheese tasting and the wine/meat tasting. The last tasting should have had more dishes. I came to Lyon because it is the gastronomic centre and was expecting to taste more lyonnaise food.

Half-day food tour of Lyon old town - exceptional!

What a fun and informative tour of Lyon old town. Pauline was the ultimate guide - incredibly knowledgeable, a great rapport with producers and a wicked sense of humour. The produce and food we were introduced to was a great representation of Lyonnaise cuisine. We now have so many things we need to try in our few days remaining in Lyon. We would highly recommend this tour.

Did this tour as my first activity after arriving in Lyon.
The knowledgeable and passionate guide took us through a series of great tasting experiences - from cheese, sausage, visiting a bouchon to tasting ice and cake.
In between the tastings we got some information about Lyon and it's buildings. This is not to say there is a lot of walking in this tour (there isn't), but you might need to navigate a staircase or two.
For most people, I think the tastings would be at least a full meal. I would recommend you to go on empty stomach unless you are a very hungry.
Given that this is a very enjoyable tour and that this represents a full (and excellent!) meal I think this tour is very good value.
Highly recommended.
