This was very useful, from unlimited transit to tours and admissions included, it made our 2 days in Lyon very easy to navigate. Also customer service was excellent. I lost my card just before our boat tour (near the end of our 48hrs) and I was able to go back to the tourist office and they put the validation code on my phone, in the app (note, this does not give you back access to transit! Best not to lose the card!) great overall experience!

This card is very convenient and it brings you to most museums. It’s a pity that I only bought 24 h card as the next day is Labour Day and the museums and public transports are not operating. If I come back again, I’ll surely get the card to continue exploration.

The Lyon City Card is excellent. The fact that it includes transport around the city is fantastic. One card makes sightseeing much easier. The Tourist Office booked me onto a one hour guided tour of the old city and also a sightseeing cruise on the river. Both were thoroughly enjoyable. The card is a great initiative by the city of Lyon!

In 48 hours, we saw and enjoyed the Lumière museum, the printing museum, the museum of Resistance and Deportation, Lugdunum and its theatres, and the Fine Arts Museum...and rode the metro, funicular, and trams AND took a scenic cruise on the Saône. Highly recommended!

We found it very useful for using the metro without worrying about tickets. We also used the cards for the lumière museum, a guided walk of vieux Lyon and the île barbe Cruise. Check on special deals and free entries - we went to the Roman remisins and musée at Fourvière which was free anyway on first Sunday of the month, and the zoo and parc tête d’or which is also free but we still saved overall.

This city card wasn’t as good as others I’ve used. The app made it difficult to find the most important sites from those that are less significant. It also didn’t make it easy to navigate those included in the card vs. those that only offer a small discount. The unlimited metro use was very helpful but that can also be done with a metro pass. I liked you can skip the line at museums but this should be stated on the app! I only learned it by accident!

This card was great. It was basically the only thing I had to pay for over 2 days in Lyon (well, had I paid closer attention to what it covered and not been flustered at the museum at the basilica, so maybe take the paper handout they offer saying everything it covers!). Very easy to use and helpful in getting around. The workers at the tourism center were also super helpful and provided a lot of great information. Highly recommend this card if spending time in Lyon.

While I appreciate the promise of access to over 88 museums and activities plus free public transport, I found that within a 48-hour timeframe, it was challenging to fully utilize the card. Due to long waiting lines, time spent on meals, and exploring both the old and new towns, our group of four was only able to visit only three museums and partake in a few additional activities (boat cruise and ferris wheel ride, free waling tour) this past weekend.
Considering the cost of €44 (plus €11 for the Miniature and Cinema Museum) for the 48 h card, I believe the pricing does not reflect the limited opportunities available within the time constraints. I strongly suggest a revised pricing structure of €20, €30, €40, and €50 for the 24, 48, 72, and 96-hour city cards, which I feel would present a fairer deal for tourists.

I've been to Lyon twice and used the card both times. It's incredibly helpful. I get the version that gives me the airport transfer. Which is an extremely great way to get from the airport into the city centre. The free entry you get to many attractions and the discounted entry to others has saved me a great deal of money.

Main reason choose city card is free museum and transportation , especially the card simpliefed transportation a lot .
Visit 3 museums , Mini World and Art Museum are good , if have time , will make more use of this card.
One bad experience is that it is actually a soft card instead of a hard one , if it is a hard card , easier for storage and can be kept as a sourvinier

In 2025 still a plastic card to collect by hand to get a qr code? Hard to find reception of the Part-Dieu mall. Don’t understand why they can’t have the Transport card too, so why go there for just a qr code? Boats and several attractions where closed in january.

I recently visited Lyon and used the 48-hour Lyon City Card, which was an excellent choice for exploring the city! The card gave me unlimited access to public transportation—tram, bus, metro, and even the funicular—which made getting around incredibly convenient. I used it to visit fantastic attractions like the Planetarium, Groupama Stadium, Musée des Confluences, and La Sucrière for the "Pompeii, Cité Immortelle" exhibition.
The card was easy to use; I got mine at the Office de Tourisme Lyon Bellecour, where a friendly staff member provided all the information I needed. It truly felt like a great deal, especially for transportation, and it offered so many options to explore the city's cultural gems.
I highly recommend the Lyon City Card to anyone visiting Lyon—it's a hassle-free way to make the most of your trip!

Very good value for money although sometimes difficult to know how to use it. Sometimes you need to buy a ticket and pay with the card, but for public transport not. When you book online, you sometimes also still needs to validate at the cashier , for other events not.

Lyon City Card is definitely value for money if you intend to use public transport, to visit several museums and book a tour or two. Although not all museums are included, discounts due to City Card are beneficial. 48hr card is probably more cost-effective.

Transport system is good, and fairly easy to navigate. There could be sign la of the next station approaching in metro. There is only audio that says name of the station once right before train stops and it only is in french. Sometimes had to use google maps to make sure I'm on the right station.
Most museums and galleries I visited were definitely worth it.
Food, and architecture is phenomenal.
Airport is disaster though. I arrived on Friday around 5pm and there was no info, fairly bad signs. Had to google everything. Also train from aeroport to city is not enough. I goes only once every 30 min, and it is fairly small. There was no space in the first one I was waiting for so I had to wait additional 30 min for another train.
Overall I rate city 7.5/10.
Lyon city card is definitely worth it if you plan to visit museums etc.

I bought the Lyon Cuy Card + Rhone Express transfer.
It's not clear from the beginning that the two are independent, each with its own valability: I learned about it just after inquiring the hot line.
Also: confusing that there are 2 (two) QR codes (one for LCC, one for Rhone Express), yet the local transportation (part of LCC) was granted NOT through the LCC QR code, but through the hne Express QR code.
Also; It ws advertised that 88 museums are accessible via LCC. NOWHERE could I find the exhaustive list! Just a bunch (max 10, I think?) were listed

The digital offer Lyon City Card + Rhonexpress is a combine offer = Lyon CIty Card + Rhonexpress transfer, that's why you received 2 qrcodes in same time. The public transportation in Lyon cannot be digital so the agent on bord has to give tickets TCL
We hope in a few years to developp a full digital offer in order to be more simple for our clients

My husband and I recently spent 4 days in Lyon. It exceeded our expectations. We always wanted to see the area, the old city combined with the new area. Wonderful historical architecture in the old city plus modern architecture in the Confluences neighborhood. We enjoyed the silk museum and the Musee de Confluences was a wonderful natural history museum. We ate wonderful food everywhere and enjoyed a Rhone Valley wine tour.

We bought a 72 hour card along with the Rhone Express transfer from airport, this worked very well for us and we made full use of the travel cards. Having free access to so many galleries & museums encouraged us to try lots of areas. Lyon is a great city full of culture & gastronomy with a fabulous connected public transport network.

This card is great for using transportation and seeing several museums. Things had changed since I bought the card and when I got to Lyon. No reservations were needed for the boat ride, but they were needed for the tour. They also no longer sell the ability to use WiFi. We went to the vaparetto stops and the boat area and never found any. The boat ride had a schedule, but I saw no schedule for the vaporetto.

While on a short visit to Lyon, I used my city card on the tram, bus and metro. I enjoyed the river cruise. I was disappointed that I could not get a single tour in English, free with my pass. I did the Bellecroux old/new city with a French guide. My companion does speak French, and I hoped to garner a bit of info 2nd hand. The guide had an extremely quiet voice and an obvious head cold. The Place Belle croux was extremely noisy with an event set up. Neither of us could hear a word. People were cupping their ears, and wandering off to look at their phones since they couldn't hear the guide. A thoroughly disappointing experience.

Впечатлили проходы в домах, впечатление такое, словно из наших дней перемещаешьчя по временном тоннелю в прошлое. Богатая история города, родина жаккарда, марионеток и прочее. Конечно же гастрономия. Божоле и сосиска Иисус (Jesus). Ну и очень удобно использовать Lyon City Card, с ней в музеях небольшие скидки, весь транспорт и некоторые музеи - бесплатно.

I loved Lyon so much - and the Lyon City Card is definitely worth it. We saved so much time by using the Card to travel, and we got our money's worth because there are so many museums and other venues included in the Card. I can't wait to visit again!

Thanks to the card, I saved a lot, even though I visited Lyon in September, i.e. after the holiday season. If you are in the same situation, please review the Card offer carefully, as many attractions have different hours and days of operation (or are unavailable) during this time.

In France, each 3rd week end of september this is the " Journées du patrimoine"
Some museums and activities are free or on discount during those 2 special days , but not all of them, sorry for this special event which offer to visitors to discover monuments exceptionally open to public.

The Lyon City card was definitely worth it for us. We got a lot of use from it and also saw things that we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. We packed a lot of sights into a short stay and had fun learning how to use the metro, since we don’t have one where we live. Be sure to check out available discounts because you can save a lot this way, rather than focus solely on the included-for-free things. Finally, if there are things you really want to do, check the opening hours. We activated our 48 hour card on Sunday, only to find that 90% of things are closed Monday so it limited the utility of the card. Pro tip: while you have an activated card (or even once you have purchased it but not activated it yet), it allows you to book into the future, so we booked some activities for a discount or for free that occurred before or after the 48 hours of activation. I wish it had included the Rhonexpress.
