I have bought the lyon City card for 3 days including the rohnexpress and was able to have a great experience in Lyon: see the main museums (fine arts, confluences, modern art), do the boat trip and have a wonderful 1h guided tour through vieux Lyon. In the express train, the ticket inspector was prompt to give me the transportation card and explain it,which was quite helpul as I didnt realise i would need another card for public transports.

además, nos quedamos sin poder hacer el crucero por el Saona, porque siempre estaba abarrotado y no se podía reservar... muy mal

Nuestras ofertas están sujetas a cambios y pueden evolucionar. Por ejemplo, en 2025, este museo costará 11 € en lugar de 22 €, mientras que en 2023 era gratuito.
Se recomienda reservar las actividades con antelación, especialmente en temporada alta, ya que están sujetas a disponibilidad. La tarjeta sigue ofreciendo acceso a más de 40 actividades incluidas.

The pass was helpful and of value. However - inconvenient that u to out have to go get a physical card, why can’t you simply activate it on your phone? Phone scanning didn’t work all the time. App organization of available attractions could be better. We had travelled to Copenhagen before Leon. I’d give their card a 10 out of 10.

Really loved having the City Card, I travel mainly by subway and bus so having the City Card made the whole process really convenient (didn’t have to download an app or rebuy tickets every time). Also got into a lot of museums for free or discounted price. Made back the price I paid for the City Card for sure.

Public transport is the way to go but information is tricky to find

Public transport in central Lyon is good. It is easy to navigate with the App. Taxis are hard to book. You have a better chance of hailing one in high traffic areas. We didn't really understand the way to get to the airport using the card, and resorted to buying separate tickets at €17 each to get there. The information in Gare Lyon Par Dieu was very poor. It's a busy station, undergoing renovation s. We finally found an information office upstairs which although courteous, was not very useful. We finally found the correct departure point at the other end of the station. The information people there were also nice, but had no English so again, we couldn't find out how to use our VisitLyon card.
We did book for the one hour walking tour, which was pleasant if light, and for the boat tour. The boat tour gives a different view of the city. The guide was friendly but his English parts were hard to understand and there was no information booklet in English.
I would still buy the pass for convenience but if you're visiting fir the second or third time, you might be better to pay as you go

We bought a card for 72h and managed to ser the main museums,used the funicular and metro (which was useful with our stroller) and went on the boat trip which was included. The ONLY thing you need to know os that on mondays most museums are closed,so that's something you should keep in mind when planning your visit.

My experience using the City Card on my last visit (in 2015) was a compelling reason that I returned to Lyon on this year’s two-month sojourn in Europe. The map and guide allowed me to revisit sites and discover new experiences with ease, using the transportation tips provided in the guide. Staff at the visitor center on Place Bellecour were very knowledgeable and welcoming. Kudos to your city’s valuable and successful promotion - see you next time!

The Lyon City Card was well worth the money (2 day pass). We visited a number of museums, took the Saone boat cruise, completed a 2 hour walking tour with a guide, and used the public transportation repeatedly. The card worked flawlessly.

Most of the attractions are not easy to get access to. You have to book and it's very questionable if you get an answer. Some attractions only available on certain jours or month. Till you find out these details, it's already too late.
Otherwise easy to handle for the 5-6 most obvious topics.

The Lyon City Card offers a variety of activities, including a free walking tour. Without this tour we would definitely miss Lyon many Traboules. We only bought the 48h pass, and we didn't have enough time to visit all the atractions included.

A wonderful way to get to know this wonderful city, with its marvelous museums and interesting neighborhoods. The pass give unlimited access to the metro, tram and funicular. They whisk you from place to place in modern cars that come frequently.

A very useful card to see many things in the city of Lyon. I used a 48 hour card that allowed me to see a few museums and take a river cruise. I also used the public transport system as much as I could. It’s worth it if you plan on visiting and are able to see the sites.

My wife and I had a 3-day card for our visit and thought that the package was invaluable. I have a walking problem and the ease with which we could use Lyon's excellent public transport network was a real asset. The river cruise was a real bonus and the Musee de Confluence is a brilliant exhibition.

I visited Lyon with my sister and we bought a 3 day card plus RhôneExpress ticket.
The card allowed way access to the metro, team and many museums. We also booked a 1hr walking tour for free and had a discount on a food tour. We saved ourselves a confusedly amount of money by buying the ticket.
Lyon is a city to return to.

We had a Lyon card for 72h and had the chance to see a lot of attractions during our stay. You get a bunch of attractions to see and things to do for less and also local transportation or even connection with the airport with an additional fee.
Just read before the attraction’s description and see where you need to book in advance.

I loved my first stay in Lyon and found the Lyon 48hr travel card enabled me to see and do a lot. My only negative comment is that Lyon lacks posts to give directions for those walking in the city. I arrived after visiting Antwerp and the Hague where the signposts are frequent and very helpful for walkers.

Für meinen Sohn waren die Ausstellungen meist frei womit sich die Karte nicht gelohnt hat. Auch die Metro ist bis 10 Jahren frei.
Das Tourisikbüro konnte mir bei allem exzellent weiterhelfen. Diesen Punkt lies sie dennoch aus. Schade. Hier hätte ich mir mehr Informationen gewünscht.

Lyon card was extremely useful. I stayed a bit far from the old town but by Lyon card I travelled fast and easy and planned my day efficiently. I could use it even at the funicular for the Roman ruins. Also it gave free admissions to many attractions like the boat tour and basilica roof. You also have the chance to rest in the lounge of the the village shopping center and free entrance to many museums.

The Lyon City card was Awesome! The card gives you access to all of the public transportation so we could go wherever we wanted. There was free admission to more Museums than we could see. I would recommend the card highly.

The purchase of the card and pickup in the Pavillon at Place Bellancourt was very smooth. Staff spoke excellent English and we were given great tips how to use the card, including the booking of a boat trip. The app and the map were also great. We enjoyed using public transportation without having to worry about tickets. Lyon in definitely worth a visit.

good value if you make the effort to get out and use it. the high value options (Confluence museum, walking tour, boat tour) will make the cost neutral and any other activities are a bonus. the free public transport is great and you can use that to take the train, tram then 43 bus to the airport.

I was so impressed with the help the Tourisme Office of Lyon provided ... in fact, in all of my travelling, I have yet to see this kind of excellency in service. The card was great, and we managed to do so much in 24 hours. Highly recommended, but you need to plan well.

We spent three days in Lyon and the Lyon City Card allowed us to visit a variety of interesting sights/locations very easily. We used buses, the metro, trams and the funicular railway. In addition, it was excellent that we could access a range of fascinating museums for free with the card. What we particularly enjoyed was making decisions about what to do/where to go and how to get there more spontaneously because we had the Lyon City Card. In short, we thought it was very good value for money!

The Lyon City Pass is a must have tool to visit Lyon main touristic attractions.
It makes visiting the city seamless from touristic spots, guided tours, iconic sites and transiting between them.
The only down point is that you must have the physical card (with its own number) to be able to book certains activities that need pre-booking... it would be easier to be able to prebook earlier as soon as the LCC has been purchased online

We used the City Card for rides on the bus, metro, and funicular, and appreciated that activities like the boat cruise, Museum of Resistance, L'Antiquailles, and Lugdunum Museum were included in the price of the card. It was well worth it!

Ik ben zeer tevreden van het gebruik van de Lyon City Card. Het was eenvoudig om deze te regelen en af te halen in l'Office du tourisme, waar men zeer vriendelijk was. We kregen daarbij ook een goede uitleg.
Op de locaties zelf ging alles zeer vlot met de Lyon City Card, net als op het openbaar vervoer. Kijk op voorhand na wat je precies wil doen uit het programma en dan is dit zeker de moeite waard!

Great pass for 1 or 2 day Lyon trip

Easy-to-use card perfect for a 1 or 2 day trip to Lyon where you pack in multiple museums/attractions/activities each day and use transportation (tram, metro, funiculaire) to get around. Only complaint is they don't have a location at Lyon Perrache so had to walk to Bellecour to pick up the card.

The Lyon city card is an almighty card and worth buying at anytime for anyone. I enjoyed a lot of museums and transportation during my stay with the card. I can assure that it is far better than perfect.

Tourists can buy a Lyon City Card in the Relay shop at Lyon airport, but there is no place to pick up Lyon City card booked online at the airpot. I ended up having to buy a ticket for 2,10 € to get to the city center to pick up the Lyon City Card, wasting one way of the Rhône Express ticket included in the Card.

we went to the tourist office and the boy recommended that we bought it if we wanted to see at least three museums. It allowed us to visit almost everything we wanted and forget about transport. Very convenient.

The Lyon City Card is a well-thought-out card for exploring the city of Lyon, which holds a vibrant and still-living history. I came on a short business trip, but I’m leaving with some regret for not being able to fully explore everything. I would love to come back one day just to visit. It was a wonderful experience.

We had a very warm and helpfull welcome at the tourist office. They helped us with the booking of the city- and boat tour, which we liked and although the visit of the museum of confluence was great. We appreciated that we could use the public transport for free. Very quickly we were everywhere with the tube. Thank you for helping us with our great Lyon-Trip.

I loved Lyon I used the card to enter museums and learn more about the beautiful historic city. As I wandered the streets the modern canuts whispered 50th anniversary celebrations 1831 for our sisters I heard some of the plans and how the Mayor of Lyon is a fake and doesn't care about Lyon(I disagree) I prayed on the spot Christians first worshipped in Lyon which is also the start of the Camino de Santiago.

Overall, everything was great — we managed to see all the places we had planned, and having unlimited access to public transportation was a huge bonus.
The only downside was the boat cruise. We asked at the tourist office whether we needed to make a reservation and were told it wasn't necessary, as boats were always available. However, when we arrived, tickets for the route we wanted were completely sold out for the day. What made it particularly frustrating was that some people did have reservations made through the tourist office, which made us feel misled.

I really liked having the Lyon city card to discover the city.
With the 48h version I had one guided city tour, a boat tour, visited 3 museums, used public transport and used the opportunity to register for the bike rental system.
For me it was a good way to see and do all the things I am interested in while not having to think about the coasts for every single activity.

As a 1st time visitor to Lyon, the smart phone app contains key information on the activities, venues and public transport associated with the card. Time stamped on entry and maintained in useful overview. Took card combined with Rhon Express for airport connection. Convenient and good value if intending to visit many of the museums etc.

We bought a 48hour Lyon City Card online. You have the option to include Rhonexpress return to the airport which we did. The card includes museum bus metro travel. If you buy online ensure you pick up an actual card to use for transport around the city.

This was very useful, from unlimited transit to tours and admissions included, it made our 2 days in Lyon very easy to navigate. Also customer service was excellent. I lost my card just before our boat tour (near the end of our 48hrs) and I was able to go back to the tourist office and they put the validation code on my phone, in the app (note, this does not give you back access to transit! Best not to lose the card!) great overall experience!
