With a good guidance from the tourist office employee, you can enjoy the most of worthy experience included in the card. If you get informed well, you will see that many interesting things are included in this card. We were happy discovering it. However one of the most interesting ones which is unusual tour of the basilica was only offered us in french and I think it was a mistake.

We loved Lyon and the City Card.
We were unable to find the Office to pick up our cards at the Part Dieu station. The directions given were confusing. We even had locals trying to help us to no avail. Eventually we gave up, and took a taxi into town. With that said, we found the TI in Place Bellecour with ease, and the staff were great. The card worked easily and everywhere we used it.

Too cumbersome to use

Why can't the cards be offered online? The Rhone Express version of the card is available using the QR codes. Having to pay for mailing or pick up at the Bellacour toursim center is a total waste of time.
If physical cards are critical, offer it at more locations. The Relay H store in Terminal 2 of the airport was closed and no way to buy it elsewhere.
Most museums are only open 10-6, which is not enough time to make the most of the city cards.

It was very easy to use the Lyon city card. It made my travel easier for public transports like metro, funicular , tram and bus. The experience was quite good. Also, I had a chance to visit multiple museums, the ticketing was quite easy, thanks to this card. It saves time and money if used wisely. Thank you.

It’s not the first time we buy a visitor’s card when we are in a big city but the Lyon City Card is the best by far.
Unlimited public transportation and free access to as good as any tourist attraction. Every attraction we visited was included and that’s unique compared to other cards when most of your favourites are not on the list. OnlyLyon!

The Lyon City Card gives you the opportunity to use Pubblic Transportation, it includes Museums, a tour of the river by boat and we had a wonderful walking tour with Veronique, a very passionate tour guide.

The Lyon City pass allowed us entry in to several museums, on a boat tour and included public transportation for the length of our pass. It worked out really well for our family of three. We had no issues at any of the included activities, including the boat tour.

We bought the 48 hr city card and we got to use if for all our transportation and entrances to museums while we were in Lyon. It was easy. There was a tourism office at the Bellacor Plaza and also at the Fourier Hill which gave recommendations of what to do and see.

We were very happy with the Lyon city card, which provided excellent value for money. One complaint is that it was not clear the the tourist busses were only included during Winter, and for Summer periods you only get discount. I read the information several times in the app, and it is not entirely clear. Consider rephrasing to avoid confusion
Unprofessional staff

At the early morning (9am), I have arrived at the Bellacour Visitor Centre to take my OnlyLyon Card and would like to make reservation for the tour guide and boat trip. However, the female staff that in charge of English language was showing inpatient attitude and she made me made reservation for tour guide after I explained many times my request. However, I have asked for the gathering place for the tour guide. The staff just simply explained and made me confused, that lead me nearly miss the tour guide. In addition, I also mentioned that I would like to make reservation for boat trip at the same time also, since it is far for me to walk back and make reservation again. But the stagg said cannot make two reservations at the same time, so I quickly rushed back to the centre after the 1.5 h tour guide. But the time when I went back, the staff told me the boat trip for the day has totally fulled. I explained the condition to them, but they refused to listen to me unpolitely....

It's clear from the long list of museums, activities, and transportations included with the City card that you get a lot for your money. Our only regret is that we did not have enough time to do everything we wanted!

Enjoyed but read details

We enjoyed the cards but made several mistakes by not reading the details.
We put in the name of the river boat into Google maps and ended up at their office, which isn’t close to the place the boat leaves. We missed the cruise. We were taking our 5 year old grandchildren to the DreamAway virtual experience. When we got there, they said you need to be 7 to participate. Check the opening days for the activities you want to do because many are closed on Sundays and Mondays and some Tuesdays. Another activity wasn’t open during our stay.

The city card was great for getting to discover Lyon and included a lot of highlight activities.
The people in the tourism office were very friendly and helped us make reservations for a ferry and tour.
My only complaint is we got the pass for 2 days (Sunday and Monday) and nobody told us that most of the museums are closed on Mondays.

I don’t usually bother getting city cards, but I knew I wanted to do a boat tour, visit the gallo-Roman museum and get a transport pass, so it made sense to get one. I did all that, plus visited several other museums, large and small, and the MiniLyon further out of the city. Also, was able to use the card for $5 more for a bike share pass with tge first hour of each ride free. Great value.
Useful with a bonus

The hotel we booked was in the new town, a bit far from Vieux Lyon so we knew we would need to use the public transport every day. After searching online about visiting Lyon we came across the City Card. After visiting many cities in my life i can see how this is a good idea for a short (4 days) tourist visit. The price is reasonable (we got 72 hours for 2 adults, 2 children) just for using the public transport everyday, but the trump card is the free or discounted entry to many of the museums and what not. The list is almost all the paid entries. We did only visit about 2 but then we spent the rest of the time eating, or at free entry places, or just walking around this beautiful city. In summary, if you need to transport everyday it's a must. If you are staying in Vieux Lyon it's still a saving (and satisfaction) to get the discounts for entries.

The card was not so convenient, as the public transport (family fare) is very cheap and not all the museums were included. I appreciated most the visit to the roof of Notre Dame de Fourviere.

Wonderful value and way to see more of the city

I bought the 72 house pass and feel like I got at least 100 euros worth of value with only paying 44. My favorite things were the boat sightseeing tour, the unusual rooftop of Basilica tour and the Museum of Confluence.

I’m really glad I bought the Lyon City Card! Besides all the amazing museums and guided tours included in it, the access to Lyon’s amazing public transport was really valuable to me. I could rest assured that no attraction was too far, and that I wouldn’t have to tire myself out by walking too much when trying to fit everything in.
The access to museums and other attractions meant that I didn’t have to juggle options based on cost - I could decide simply on what I felt like doing.
I highly recommend the museum of printing.

La città benediciamo di molti tappeto pubblici molto ben organizzati e puntuali. Purtroppo in aeroporto avevano soltanto una Lyon city card per cui abbiamo dovuto raggiungere il centro per acquistarne un'altra quando il nostro obiettivo programmato era diverso. Chissà perché per il collegamento con il centro cittadino viene pubblicizzato solo il rhonexpress quando invece si può anche prendere il47 e poi la t3 con un prezzo inferiore...comunque una volta avuta la card è stato tutto molto facile!

Very useful and easy to use. I was only didappointed that there were limitations on the vaporetto and that the ticket machine on the vaporetto didn't give the right change.
Having to go to the toilet at the Station Part-Dieu is a nuisance.
Good idea, poorly implemented

We thought the city card was a useful tool to make the most of our time in Lyon. I'm not sure if we saved as much money as we expected overall, but it was easy to use.
However, it promised to include access to many museums. The first we went to, the excellent Musee Cinema et Miniature, was not fully included, we had to pay 5 Euros each to enter. This made us doubt what the deal was elsewhere. Greater clarity would be much appreciated.

It was my second time in the beautiful city on the two rivers. For my wife it was the first visit. We were thrilled to admire the great architecture with the mix of beautiful merchant houses, medieval buildings, impressive sacred buildings and innovative modernism. We really enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the center, but also the peace and quiet in our hotel a little away from the river. The staff at the tourist office at Bellecour Square are helpful and patient in providing information. So we saved a lot with the Lyon ticket when visiting the museum and on the boat tour on the Saone. Changing from bus to train and vice versa was also completely unproblematic as it was included in the Tourist Card. Also the entrance to some special city events. This way you can enjoy your vacation stress-free.

Very good card, would recommend it, but two major critical things:
1. The method of ordering and retrieving your card via an online code is not clearly explained on your site. The information only appears deep into the ordering process. Make it more transparent, please.
2. Annoyingly, the lady at the Galleries Lafayette reception was not able to hand out our cards, because she didn't know how. We were denied our cards and referenced to the tourist office, which opened only the next day and was only reachable by public transportation, which we had to buy tickets for.

I found the Lyon City card to be very helpful to have access to public transportation. I am not able to read French on the ticket selling terminals. I was able to purchase the Lyon card in English.

It was really worth purchasing the city card. The price was good for what it offered, contrary to what happens in several European cities. There is a huge range of places to visit and we were sorry not to visit more. It also helped us decide what to see by visiting the website and checking the attractions that were included. We ended up just buying a ticket to a museum that wasn't included, but at a huge discount! Including public transport also took away a lot of worry and everything worked perfectly. We ended up purchasing the combination with the airport transfer train, because it was quick and comfortable, although it probably wasn't even necessary with the existing public transport offer. I only suggested that there was a place at the airport to exchange online tickets for physical ones, since we were told that they were only available for sale. We were lucky that at Rhônexpres they gave us the card for public transport trips, otherwise we would have gotten lost, trying to figure out where we could trade them. It's worth purchasing and I highly recommend it.

This card is so helpful if you'll be in Lyon for a few days. It makes the transit super easy -- no worrying about buying the right ticket. And so many sights are free with the card. Totally worth it, I would buy it again in a heartbeat!

Mostly good value, but beware of some establishments failing to accept the card due to "technical issues". The e-card also initially confused staff who'd scan the Rhône Express barcode and find it didn't work, unsurprisingly.

I really liked using the card. I collected it from Westfield opposite the main station, since I arrived by train. This meant I could use it the afternoon I arrived, visiting the centre for resistance and deportation, before visiting the tourist office in the city centre the following day. Most of the museums in Lyon accept it and you get free entry with it. The film museum gives you a discount. In total, I only spent €5 in visiting about six or seven different places in the city. Plus you can use it on the subway, teams and funicular (very useful if you've gone to the basilica which is at the top of a steep hill!). If you're in Lyon for a few days and you're visiting a lot of museums I'd definitely recommend it.

If one is interested in Lyon's museums the card quickly pays off.
I suggest small improvements to the card as a semi-digital product.
1. If you have an app, make it the card. The piece of plastic serves no additional value and complicates the process of obtaining it.
2. Clearly state that the onset of the validity period for public transport and for museums/cruises, etc. are independent of each other. I was told this at the tourist office but did not see this indicated elsewhere. In the app, show the remaining validity times.
3. Integrate info on included (or discounted) services more completely into the app. It's bizarre that one has to e. g. google the boat cruises company to find out about cruise times.

My husband and I both bought a 72-hr card, exactly the amount of available time we had to use it. We each added the 5 € public bike option.
I saved money by buying the card + bike option, but my husband did not. After his first bike ride, he decided not to bicycle anymore. (He felt he needed to be watching the road and traffic all the time rather than seeing the beautiful surroundings!) He also decided not to "run around" to visit various museums and/or do various activities. He really liked the Beaux Arts Museum, spending a whole afternoon in it. He even went back a second time! He didn't realize the City Card was only good for one visit, but he still went ahead and paid the admission price to go in a second time.
So in the end, because he didn't want to rush around, the card wasn't economical for him.

The card enabled us to travel on public transport, visit many attractions and participate in guided tours. The guided tours enabled us to see parts of the city we otherwise wouldn't have seen, such as many of the Traboules. The rooftop tour of the Basilica was worth the climb up the steps!

Lyon City Card makes seeing the city easier by being able to use all public transport throughout the city. And considering all the free entries it's very reasonably priced. I would buy it again.

I don’t always choose to use a city card when traveling as often you cannot get enough out of it to equal the cost. In the case of the Lyon Card the value is there. With the 48 hour card we visited 3 or 4 museums, toured Notre Dame rooftop, took a boat tour, toured silk production and used the metro many times. For us it proved to be a good deal.

La carta sarebbe anche comoda includendo tutti i trasporti e moltissime attività e musei (anche gratis) ma siamo arrivati il primo giorno ed al centro commerciale della Gare Part Dieu erano finite le tessere così siamo dovuti andare il giorno successivo all'ufficio turismo, in più l'ultimo giorno domenica 28/04 la metro era ferma e anche sul Rhone-express c'erano problemi ed alla fine non abbiamo potuto prendere i mezzi pubblici ma utilizzare un taxi spendendo 140 euro per raggiungere in tempo l'aeroporto, veramente pessimi

The Lyon City card was excellent value, providing free access to all the central attractions we visited, and free public transport. The only annoyance was the limited number of places that a pre-booked card could be collected - although it can be bought more widely without pre-booking, it is necessary to have pre-booked it in order to reserve a place on a walking tour. We weren’t able to use all the opportunities but am very impressed with what was offered — the transportation benefit is especially valuable. = we did enjoy the Gallo-Roman Museum and Museum of Confluences.

I've gotten the Lyon Card on every visit I've made to Lyon. It's a great deal that combines all public transportation with dozens of sites and exhibitions, and there's always free walking tours and boat tours included. Absolutely recommended, 10/10.
