The best of Lyon on a double-decker bus
Your pass means you can freely hop on and off at any of the 14 stops to visit museums and monuments, or just enjoy a quiet stroll.
From Place Bellecour to the Saône, the view over the Saint-Georges district is stunning. Follow the left bank to the modern Confluence district, then head on up Fourvière hill, passing by the Roman theatre and the Odeon, all the way to Notre-Dame de Fourvière. The sight as you approach the basilica is truly impressive.
This guided tour, called 'green line' will then treat you to a bird's-eye view of Loyasse cemetery, where Lyon's most famous people are buried. You'll be passing by the old ramparts of Vaise Fort to the Saône embankment and enjoying the splendid sights of Vieux-Lyon, the trompe-l'oeil painting of Lyon's most famous inhabitants, and Les Subsistances... You'll then be taken to the Presqu’île, and Place des Terreaux, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Hôtel de Ville (town hall), and the Opera House.
This leisurely tour will take you across the Rhône, the banks of which are a popular relaxation area for locals, then on past the imposing façade of the Grand Hôtel-Dieu, steeped in history. And finally, the return journey will pass through Place des Jacobins with its lovely fountain, all the way to Place Bellecour.

Explanation
The advantage of this formula is freedom! I can alight in Fourvière to visit the basilica, admire the view, see the ancient sites and the Gallo-Roman museum, and hop on the next bus… It's "as I want, when I want!"
