A tour of the city with Lyon’s famous Vaporetto
Discover Lyon from the water!
The Vaporetto, Lyon’s famous boat-bus, takes you up and down the Saône as you discover the city in an original way.
This green transport mode will take you to the city centre, Vieux-Lyon (Old Lyon), Vaise and all the way down to the Confluence district where the Saône meets the Rhône!
The boat will take you past Vieux-Lyon, to admire Fourvière Basilica and gaze at the slopes of Croix-Rousse Hill... Take in the amazingly colourful façades and the impressively redeveloped Confluence district!
Would you like to take a stroll through the narrow paved streets of Vieux-Lyon, or go shopping in the Confluence Leisure Centre? You can choose from the four stops that the Vaporetto goes past.
- Times leaving from Bellecour towards Vaise: : 1:50pm, 3:10pm, 4:30pm and 5:50pm.
- Times leaving from Bellecour towards Confluence: 2:30pm, 3:50pm, 5:10pm and 6:30pm.
- From April to October, the Vaporetto runs from Wednesday to Sunday.
- During school holidays in France’s ‘zone A’, the Vaporetto runs every day of the week
Worth knowing
- Please ensure you arrive 10 minutes before bording.
- Booking is necessary. Please show your pass (on paper or on your smartphone), which gives you priority access on bord.
- Cancellation free of charge 72 hours before schedule activity.
- Use your pass to get on or off at the four stops along the route (Bellecour, St Paul, Vaise et Confluence) at the time of your choice (subject to availability).
- In the event of high water levels on the day of the cruise, the route may be modified.
- There is no commentary on this cruise.
- Seats available inside and outside; boat heated in winter.
- Annual closure in January and February.
- In March, November and December, the Vaporetto runs on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays.
- Please note, St Paul station, located at 16 Quai de Bondy, is not accessible to PRMs.
